Venue Information


Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine is an open air amphitheater constructed each summer inside Waterfront Park in Bangor, Maine. Waterfront Park is a 58 acre public park on the Banks of the historic Penobscot River in the heart of the downtown district. The unique function of operating in a public park is that the park can be configured any way an act desires including seated, General Admission or a mixture of both. (See Seating Chart) Also, we can have multiple stages inside the main venue or throughout the whole park for multi day festivals. The Waterfront Pavilion has hosted the likes of Jason Aldean, Def Leppard, Zac Brown Band, Poison, B.B. King, REO Speedwagon, Keith Urban, Stone Temple Pilots, Rascal Flatts, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tim McGraw, Bob Dylan, Jason Mraz, Godsmack, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebelum, Ray Lamontagne, and The J. Geils Band, just to name a few. Bangor Waterfront Pavilion’s is conveniently located in the center of Maine and is easily accessible from all points in Maine, New Hampshire and the Eastern Canadian Provinces. (See Location) It’s proximity to Downeast Maine, especially Acadia National Park, The Northern Lakes Region and Baxter State Park make it ideal for a getaway weekend before or following a show.

    If you are new to our Bangor, Maine outdoor venue or even if you’re an avid concert-goer, remember you might not realize that there are some things you should leave in your vehicle and some things you should avoid bringing.

  • Food and Beverage Policy

No food or beverages (including coffee and bottled water) may be brought into the Bangor Waterfront Pavilion during events. This policy is strictly enforced.

  • Re-admittance
  • It is not possible to readmit guests once they have left the main gates.
  • Seating
  • Many of our events are reserved seating events. We ask that you sit in your assigned seat. For your convenience, we have ushers throughout the seating area that will be happy to seat you. All ushers are dressed in a purple jersey that says VOLUNTEER on the back.
  • Special Needs
  • We acknowledge the special needs and challenges of some of our guests. Guests requiring special needs should notify the box office of those needs when purchasing tickets. Our box office staff will make every effort to provide the best available seat appropriate for any specific need. We have a team dedicated to ensuring our guests with special needs can attend Bangor Waterfront Pavilion events without worry and maximize their experience. Our special assistance team is available at all events and can assist guests to their seats upon request. We pride ourselves on making our events available to any guest who wants to attend. Please make requests through our EMS staff @ (medical@waterfrontconcerts.com) for special services a minimum of two weeks prior to an event. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests made less than two weeks prior to an event, but accommodation cannot be guaranteed.
  • Smoking
  • The Bangor Waterfront Pavilion has designated smoking areas in the back of the venue. Smoking is prohibited in the seated area of the venue. Our staff is committed to a safe entertainment experience and will enforce Maine’s Public Place Smoking Law (22 MRSA § 1541 et seq.)
  • First Aid
  • The Bangor Waterfront Pavilion is staffed with Maine licensed EMTs for all public events. Our staff is trained to manage medical emergencies, treat minor injuries and make appropriate decisions regarding activation of the 911 system. Guests should contact the nearest Bangor Waterfront Pavilion employee to activate our medical staff.
  • Emergency Evacuation
  • In the unlikely event of an emergency, the Bangor Waterfront Pavilion guests should follow the directions of the trained event staff and proceed to the closest exit in calm manor. Guests should check with the nearest event staff on arrival for the closest appropriate emergency exit.
  • Security
  • The Bangor Waterfront Pavilion events staff is committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests. Security measures are in place at all our events. The Bangor Waterfront Pavilion conducts a pat down search and random bag checks at our public events. Prohibited Items will not be allowed inside the Bangor Waterfront Pavilion. Guests will have the opportunity to secure prohibited items in their vehicle prior to admittance. The Bangor Waterfront Pavilion reserves the right to eject any guest that violates other guest’s rights to a safe and enjoyable experience. Guest violating any laws will be referred to local law enforcement for prosecution.

  • Lost and Found

  • The Bangor Waterfront Pavilion is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Guests should contact the administration office regarding lost and found items 207-358-9327.

  • Cameras/Video/Audio Equipment
  • Professional photography and video/audio equipment is generally not permitted at the Bangor Waterfront Pavilion in order to comply with artist copyrights. Certain events allow limited use and guests are encouraged to check details on our event page on the day of the event for updates.
  • Alcohol
  • It is a violation of Maine’s liquor laws to bring alcoholic beverages inside the Bangor Waterfront Pavilion. Our event staff is committed to enforcing the liquor laws and alcoholic beverages brought inside the building will be confiscated. Alcoholic beverages will be available through Bangor Waterfront Pavilion concessions for certain events. All guests, regardless of age, will be asked to show ID when purchasing alcoholic beverages. The Bangor Waterfront Pavilion staff reserves the right to deny admission and/or alcohol to anyone that is intoxicated or poses a hazard to public safety.

    Providing alcohol to minors, and possession of alcohol by minors is a violation of Maine’s liquor laws. Guests furnishing alcohol to minors and minors in possession of alcohol will b e referred to local law enforcement for prosecution.
